It’s February and we all know what that means, it’s the season of ‘LOVE’. We are exactly seven days away from Valentine’s Day and everywhere you turn you see heart-shaped balloons, roses, basically every shop windows has some sort of red display in aid to promote this “one special day” that we go above and beyond to appreciate the lovely people in our lives. To be quite honest I think everyday should be Valentine’s day, I want to be spoilt rotten with gifts and loads of love every day of the calendar year and then an extravagant surprise on Valentine’s Day itself would be nice! So I am expecting something nice and big this year (LOL).
Typically the Valentine’s Day colour is known to be ‘red’ or ‘pink’ in some cases, so this year I am rebelling against that (Well, almost) I am wearing black! As you all know already black is one of my go to colour, I enjoy wearing black wether it be on a night out in a LBD or a working day, you are likely to spot me wearing black. So I thought it would be a great idea to put together 3 black Valentine’s Day date night outfits and title the posts ‘Black Valentine’ under this title I will be showcasing 3 different Valentine’s Day date night outfits in black with a touch Red/ Pink!
My first Valentine’s Day date night outfit is a sequinned star dress from H&M, I have opted for this dress particular because it’s such a simple dress by yet has a lot of fashionable statement, and gives a fabulous feel when worn. The dress itself has a story attached to it, (Story time) I had seen the dress on the H&M website a couple of months ago and I wanted to buy it so badly! But the price wasn’t pocket friendly (£49.99) so kept it in my online basket for weeks and weeks to come, so because I wanted it so badly I went back to finally make a purchase but as I proceed to checkout it sold out! (damn). So I had given up on even imagining myself owning it as it wasn’t even available to buy in stores, the dress eventually got reduced to £35 in the December sales (and yet again I thought it wasn’t worth the price) so I left it on my line basket. I had changed my mind once again and wanted to buy it for that price but it was taken offline again! With all hope gone I was browsing the regent street H&M store during the January sales period and there I saw the dress hanging on a rail with a price tag of £10! What a barging right? I leaped to it in joy and that my friend is my 2016 best buy so far.
This dress can be dressed up for a dinner date, or a beach cover-up in summer, as its made of a light chiffon material that is flowy. It’s a wardrobe must have!
