I’m not one to just write about product just for the sake of it, I like to give it a try for a good length of time (if that means waiting 3-4 weeks for a review, so be it). I got the DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips (for the eye) in the post a few weeks back and have used it ever since, and I’m quite pleased with the result. So I thought its time I write a review…
I don’t really get puffy eyes, but sometimes it is inevitable after a long day with few hours of sleep. It can all take a toll on the eye area…so this really came handy. I usually use a cooling eye pad for days like that. DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips claims to reduce appearance of puffiness/bags, dark circles and moisturises the under eye. “These soft gel strips adhere to the area under your eyes to deliver nourishing ingredients that work to minimise the appearance of puffiness and dark circles to brighten while you sleep, nap or relax. Absorbs into skin, so no post-rinsing is necessary. Olive leaf protects while mulberry and alpha-arbutin brighten“.
It comes in a box with 6 applications at £6.95, each application has two large eye strips. The strips are large enough and fully covers the eye area, reaching toward each temple and covering the higher part of the cheeks. It definitely has great coverage of the eye area. You can wear the strips for 20-30 minutes or overnight for best results, I prefer to wear it when I’m doing my chores in the morning or I wear it all day at the weekends (saturdays). They are pretty easy to wear overnight because they stick to your face and don’t move (unless you sleep really rough and move a lot). I’ve only slept with them through the night once and I did find it a bit uncomfortable, but once I drifted into deep sleep all was forgotten till the morning.
I really do like the DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips, it’s like I’ve been to the spa for a mini facial! in the morning when I woke up, it really does improve the appearance of the dark circles and puffiness. I recommend you give your face/skin a good wash, then tone before you use the strip, so that it sticks and last for the effectiveness to kick in. its really easy to use and I love how its messy-free, no liquid dripping so perfect to use while moving around the house. The longer you wear them for the better result you get, when you remove them you notice the strip/patches have become thinner, that because the gel has melted away into the skin to hydrate it with the help of the heat generated from the skin contact.
