The Red Dress

Red has always been one of my favourite colours, especially to wear on the lips.  It is one of those colours that I don’t wear very often but when I do it stands out and is usually used as a statement piece . I’ve always played by the rules “one should always have at least one Red statement fashion piece in the wardrobe” whether it be a Classic Red Blazer, a sexy Red dress, a Red Pencil Skirt, a pair of Red Stilettos or Red lipstick.  These items in ‘Red’ work really well with many other colours, such as Black, White or solid block colours. So when I saw this Red dress in my inbox from my weekly newsletter from H&M (am sure by now you know I’m huge fan of H&M) on Katy Perry for their Christmas ‘Happy  & Merry’ campaign, and I was sold instantly! A long V-neck dress in textured chiffon material with a drawstring at the waist and twisted ties with tassels on the ends, long sleeves with mesh inserts  and a wraparound skirt that is in a double layer at the front and lined with a short chiffon skirt. This dress is a perfect fit for the holiday season it will certainly have you turning heads at your Christmas black tie party.  It’s a definite show stopper, a very elegant and inexpensive at £14.99 it is my festive best buy of the season!
